fall family fun

To say I had a busy fall would be an understatement. I was not looking forward to back to school. If you know me, you know i'm a sucker for summer, easy days, just going with the flow.... and we went from just that to full on busy from 6:40 am until bedtime... crazy days, and they just flew by. I took on a position working with Elections Canada for our federal election. So balancing that, kids, a full booked up fall, a corporate event and hockey, you could say I was busy. BUT it was all worth it. I had such a great fall. To mark the one year anniversary of me taking this leap in to photography was exciting. Not that I really celebrated, but to achieve that was wonderful. I think I counted that I did 33 photo sessions in my first year. I was really happy with that. I'm hoping to double that for this upcoming year, or more! I'd definitely do more! But I know this kind of a job takes time. It takes time to get my name out there. I am a big fan of social media helping me out. I always appreciate the "shout outs" through facebook after we've done a session and you post your photos.

Anyhow, fall was great. Here in Calgary we were spoiled. It usually lasts about 4 days. But this year we had a full month + of warm weather. The colors were amazing and it made booking for photos that much better. As a natural light photographer, I love doing my sessions outdoors as much as possible. I took advantage of the nice days and booked as many as I could.

I started off with a beautiful growing family. I've had the opportunity to watch their family from the beginning. And can't wait to see the newest addition come this world. We picked a nice evening early september to get some greenery in the background and had fun walking around. Miss L has gotten so big and so beautiful. Here's a few of my favourites!
