The Gilberts

I had the pleasure of meeting the Gilberts last year. Our oldest son's played on the same hockey team. Throughout the season Shannon and I created a friendship, and I always looked forward to games & practices because I got to have some time chatting with her.

We were very lucky to sneak this shoot in just before all the snow came. Don't get me wrong, the snow is beautiful for photos, but we got this bone chilling, deep freeze temperature that came along with it. This shoot was fun, these boy were cute and I had fun bargaining & teasing them.  A beautiful family and we created some pretty wonderful shots.

Fall Fun

I am so blessed to have these two amazing little boys. One of my favourite things about them is their willingness to let me photograph them to no end. We go on shoots quite often, I like to test out ideas with them, or just to even keep my creative juices flowing in slow spells. These past couple weeks have been quiet business wise, but it's been nice to have this time with them. It isn't always easy not having a steady income coming in, however, I know that good things take time to get going. I have been fortunate enough to have so much interest. It reminds me that I am doing this for the right reasons. I'm truly passionate about photography and really hope this is conveyed through the images I create.

We were lucky enough to have a beautiful fall with such rich colors. I don't remember ever having such a stunning array of leaves with so many tones showing off. Needless to say, we have had a few different shoots during this time. The snow has fallen now, and I'm excited for winter photos too. When the chinooks roll through there's nothing I love more than getting out, spending time outside and taking photos.

Family time

The Kalmacoff's invited me in to their home for this shoot. On arrival I was met with the sweetest little face, their oldest daughter, Katherine. From the moment I stepped in I knew she'd steal the show being so full of life, fun,  and everything "Frozen." For being so young, I was blown away by her intelligence. We had fun.  This sweet family was so great. So photogenic and just being themselves. From playing games on the stairs, to running around in the backyard, enjoying each others company came so naturally, and it shows in their photos.  The love between them was very forthcoming which made my job very easy.
